Last Friday, a strong team of 70 students represented the school at the NHSSA Inter High Division 1 Athletics Carnival at the Northern Athletics Centre. Over the course of the day, we had some fantastic results, with a number of event winners and top 3 place getters.

A shoutout goes to our group of grade 8 boys who stepped up on short notice to cover events due to injuries, with this being a great show of the team spirit that we have been developing over the year.

A bigger shoutout to Grade 7 student Prince and Grade 10 student Ava who both managed to break records on the day. This is no small feat, as there have been some amazing athletes compete at Inter High events over a long period of time.

At the conclusion of the competition, we finished 2nd in the Junior Shield, 2nd in the Senior Shield, for an overall placing of 2nd behind Prospect High School.
